Can I point to other peers?

When I smartcontract sync I get a list of other node IPs such as the following:
2020/01/13 21:10:53.117985 [SpyNode] untrusted_version.go:31 Verbose - ([173.230.147.162]:8333) Version : /BUCash:1.7.0(EB32; AD12; 64bit)/ protocol 80003, blocks 617710

Can I switch to using one of them (by editing my cli.dev.env file) instead of using the given Tokenized hosted full-node?

In order for spynode to function, it currently needs RPC. So if you know the RPC credentials for any of those nodes, and trust them to only give you valid data, then yes.
